At least, I believe it's an EMI LA 2A Reporter reel to reel portable recorder... had to do some google image searching to confirm. This battery powered recorder was made in the early 1950s and would've been used for off-site reporting and documentaries. Part of the Broadcast in Analogue series. * UPDATE * disappearing for a few days, and possibly much of next week. Photo updates might be few and far between, but I promise to let looe when I return with more CBC work that's been kept in the can, polaroids, and probably a picture of a lively boston terrier.
