Melissa McClelland and Luke Doucet

Melissa McClelland and Luke Doucet were playing in the CBC Drive studio not too long ago. Nice people, and Luke has a freakin’ SWEET guitar. He can play it too

I used two lights. An SB600 on the floor behind them (casting her rim light and a cross light on Luke) with a standard 1/1 tungsten gel. Bounced off a light wood floor too, which probably oranged/yellowed it up a bit more. Also, an SB28 behind me and to the right of the camera as the main light. 1/1 tungsten gel, but the gel was a tad yellower. It was also bouncing off the ceiling as well as hitting them directly.

Used a Lensbaby on Melissa (probably f/4), and an 18-70mm (at 70mm) on Luke at f/4.4. Shots are straight outta the camera, probably had a little D-Lighting, and “standard” colour processing on them.
